Wiceminister Spraw Wewn\u0119trznych i Administracji, Pe\u0142nomocnik MSWiA ds. Weteran\u00f3w, \u015bcis\u0142e kierownictwo SOP z funkcjonariuszami i pracownikami, Dyrektor Centrum Weterana Dzia\u0142a\u0144 poza Granicami&nbsp; i 3. funkcjonariuszy BOR chroni\u0105cych \u00f3wcze\u015bnie konw\u00f3j dyplomatyczny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 pa\u017adziernika 2007 roku w Bagdadzie &nbsp;\u2013 150 metr\u00f3w od ambasady RP, dosz\u0142o do ataku na konw\u00f3j dyplomatyczny wioz\u0105cy Ambasadora RP Pana Edwarda Pietrzyka. Eksplodowa\u0142y trzy kierowane \u0142adunki wybuchowe. Kieruj\u0105cy pojazdem plut. Bartosz Orzechowski odni\u00f3s\u0142 \u015bmiertelne rany. Pomimo to zwolni\u0142 blokady drzwi samochodu, umo\u017cliwiaj\u0105c ewakuacj\u0119 uwi\u0119zionego ambasadora&nbsp; i uratowa\u0142 \u017cycie innym uczestnikom konwoju. W ataku rannych zosta\u0142o tak\u017ce trzech innych funkcjonariuszy Biura Ochrony Rz\u0105du.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Za niespotykany heroizm plut. BOR Bartosz Orzechowski zosta\u0142 po\u015bmiertnie awansowany na stopie\u0144 podporucznika i odznaczony Orderem Krzy\u017ca Wojskowego. Spoczywa na cmentarzu parafialnym przy ul.
